Jurisdictional Approach/Landscape Approach Resources

A major barrier to the transition away from mercury use in artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) is the typical lack of formalization in the sector. The planetGOLD programme aims to pilot innovative and holistic approaches to formalization, such as the Jurisdictional Approach (JA) / Landscape Approach (LA).

This work builds capacity among planetGOLD country level projects via trainings/workshops, tools and supporting documents, to enable projects to pilot JA/LA approaches.

This web page will be continuously updated with recordings of webinars and trainings, relevant documents, and other useful materials regarding JA/LA approaches in English, French and Spanish. Additional reading materials in English only can be found on this page.
