This is an abridged version of the Indigenous Negotiations Resource Guide, a tool for Indigenous communities to operationalize their right to FPIC and to effectively engage in negotiations when they choose to do so. This abridged version includes brief chapter summaries and assessment questions that communities can use to consider whether negotiation is the right approach for them, to map out how to prepare for negotiations, to develop strategies for maximizing their bargaining power, and to understand what makes a good agreement.
