El objetivo de un informe técnico es proporcionar un resumen de la información científica y técnica importante relativa a las actividades de exploración, desarrollo y producción de minerales en una propiedad minera para orientar a los posibles inversores en una decisión de inversión. Esta Guía para la Redacción de Informes Técnicos establece los requisitos de contenido de los informes y pretende normalizar el formato de los Informes Técnicos de la MAPE para geólogos, ingenieros y contratistas, en el contexto de los recursos disponibles para los grupos mineros artesanales organizados.

The Environmental Health and Pollution Management Program (EHPMP) addresses environmental health challenges associated with mercury use in artisanal small-scale gold mining and e-waste, and environmental health challenges associated with unintentional Persistent Organic Pollutants. Funded by the Global Environment Facility, it is implemented in Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Tanzania, and Zambia.
