#SHEroes of planetGOLD Philippines

In celebration of Women's Month 2023, planetGOLD Philippines features women heroes of the artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) sector in the Philippines in #SHEroesOfASGM—a month-long  campaign that highlights stories about the vital role of women who #EmbraceEquity towards a safer, cleaner, and more profitable ASGM industry in the country.

This month, planetGOLD Philippines joins the campaign on #EmbraceEquity by celebrating the vital role women play, and highlight their huge contribution in building a sustainable future for the ASGM sector. Recognizing women's roles in a male-dominated industry is an important step towards gender equality.

The planetGOLD Philippines project acknowledges that the road to gender equality is a challenging one and that there is a need to recognize the critical role of women in mining. We join the collective call to end gender bias, stereotypes, and discrimination of women’s rights and equality for a more sustainable tomorrow.
