The planetGOLD Uganda project will be hosting the Annual Stakeholders Meeting on November 24, 2023 in Kampala. The meeting will be held under the theme, Building Uganda’s Mercury-Free Artisanal Gold Sector. The project is dedicated to promoting responsible artisanal gold mining through mercury reduction.
The planetGOLD Uganda project is a five-year project supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). It is executed by IMPACT in partnership with the Directorate of Geological Survey and Mines (DGSM) and National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).
