I Inter-American Symposium on Mercury (SIN MERCURIO) and VI Forum on Mercury, Hazardous Chemicals and Public Health in Madre de Dios
The Republic of Peru, through the Ministry of Environment (MINAM), the Center for Scientific Innovation in the Amazon (CINCIA), and the planetGOLD Peru project are organizing this important event in order to learn about the results of scientific research on mercury impacts on the environment and human health, and learn about the different initiatives and actions of the member states of the Minamata Convention that are part of the American continent.
We are addressing three thematic axes of broad interest:
- Monday 26: mercury and environment
- Wednesday 28: mercury and health
- Friday 30: solutions and lessons learned
I Simposio Interamericano sobre Mercurio (SIN MERCURIO) y VI Foro sobre Mercurio, Químicos Peligrosos y Salud Pública en Madre de Dios
La República del Perú, a través del Ministerio del Ambiente (MINAM), el Centro de Innovación Científica en la Amazonía (CINCIA) y el proyecto planetGOLD Perú están organizando este importante evento con el fin de conocer los resultados de las investigaciones científicas sobre los impactos del mercurio en el medio ambiente y la salud humana, y conocer las diferentes iniciativas y acciones de los estados miembros de la Convención de Minamata que forman parte del continente americano.
Estamos abordando tres ejes temáticos de amplio interés:
- Lunes 26: mercurio y medio ambiente
- Miércoles 28: mercurio y salud
- Viernes 30: soluciones y lecciones aprendidas
